    1. Past Slumberjack experience

Years ago I bought a slumberjack mummy bag. Tried it out and it failed miserably. The rating system was not even close to the reality of it's warmth factor. Contacted the company. They fed me a line of BS you would expect from a politician. Offered me a warmer bag at more cost. More cash out, and a failure again at the rating system. I do not recommend slumberjack for anything except three season use. I also understand the bags are imported now, with a corresponding loss of quality in areas other than the rating system. Buyer beware of very misleading sales talk... and not so good customer service if you have a problem. on May 12th 2017

    2. Big Bummer -20

Slumberjack used to have intelligent design. No more. Slumberjack used to be made in the USA. No more. Slumberjack used to use YKK zippers. No more. This bag should be called a comforter with a crappy zipper. That's it. Big Bummer Disappointment. on May 11th 2017

    3. Backwoods & wilderness

I do alot of hiking and backpacking, I am also a member of the High Sierra Volunteer Trail Crew, I've camped in the rain, snow and fridges temperature's at high elevation.
I own 2 slumberjack bags, a lightweight synthetic 20° bag, & a heavy-duty canvas -20°, these bags are more than sufficient, the best bag I've ever owned, I have other bag like Big Agnes, North Face, that are really nice lighter weight for backpacking,
I prefer the slumberjack over the others, especially when I'm on trail crew base camp. A+

    4. Comfortable yes, warm no

I bought the BIG TIMBER PRO -20 for the newly designed big toe area which is great, lots of foot room. I would not call this a -20 rated bag. I have an older -20 rated SJK bag and have slept in it in temps in the teens and never felt cold in it. I slept in this bag in temps of the upper 30's and suffered all night, never felt warm in it. I'll surely use this bag for the big toe design, but I won't use it for temps below 40. on Nov 21st 2016

    5. Sleepingbag or bed?

Very spacious. I'm a girl and 5'2" and I got lost in it! Natural feeling fabric, easy to pack up. Recommend. on Jun 29th 2016
