    1. Very warm, not compactable

This bag is very warm and comfortable. However, it is not very compactable and the regular size is just above 5 pounds which is not exactly light when you’re backpacking miles on end (but I knew the weight going in cause it’s listed). This bag is a perfect bag if you’re driving to your campsite but if you hike a lot like I do (usually around 30 miles total per camp trip) then I recommend getting a lighter weight compactable bag.

The trade off here is that this bag is one of the cheapest -20 degree bags you’ll find. If you want ultra light and compactable, you’ll be dropping $300+. So that’s the decision.

I’m happy I have it, but from now on this will only be a bag used for campsites that I drive to with the family to relax, not any serious hiking.
